Eyring, Second Counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, passed away in peace on Sunday, October 15, 2023, in Bountiful, Utah, surrounded by her family. President Henry B. Eyring was called to serve as the Second Counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had reached the age of 82. Not only was Kathleen, or “Kathy” as she was lovingly called, a treasured companion to President Eyring,

but she was also a source of inspiration and strength to innumerable others all over the world. Kathleen passed away on April 15, 2018. She left behind a great legacy of love and dedication by devoting her life to her faith, her family, and the community in which she lived. Kathy was born in 1941, and in 1962 she wed Henry B. Eyring.
