Even though Kate Middleton is already the mother of three small children – Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1 – royal fans are ready for the Duchess of Cambridge to have another baby. Pregnancy rumors started to swirl around Kate not long after Meghan Markle gave birth to Archie Harrison, and a new report claims that Kate is indeed expecting baby number four and Kensington Palace will be making an announcement soon.
The baby news comes from New Idea Magazine, who also claims Kate is expecting a baby girl. The publication also claims that cameras caught Prince William and Kate at the same doctor’s office she was spotted at in 2014 when the Duchess was pregnant with Princess Charlotte. However, no one from the palace or the royal family has confirmed that a baby is on the way.

There is some baby news, though, that definitely has Kate “overjoyed.” Her close friend Sophie Snuggs – who is one of Princess Charlotte’s godparents – gave birth to a daughter in June. Snuggs even included her goddaughter’s name when she named her little girl Amalia Rose Charlotte Snuggs.
If Middleton is pregnant, she would most likely not be making many public appearances, as she has suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum – severe morning sickness – during her first three pregnancies. When she was pregnant with Prince Louis, the palace had to make an early announcement because Kate had to cancel her public engagements due to the condition.
“I always thought Kate wanted to have three children because she comes from a family of three siblings, but now I’m convinced she’s delighted to have four,” says royal journalist Phil Dampier. “You can see what a wonderful mother she is and she would also love little Louis to have a sister of a similar age, just as George has Charlotte.”
Dampier, the author of Royally Suited: Harry and Meghan in Their Own Words, says that Kate “loves the dynamic” of two boys and two girls. He also noted that Kate often talks to Princess Mary, who is the mother of four (two boys, two girls).

The Cambridges have just returned to London after enjoying a family vacation, and Kate’s next official public appearance will be alongside Prince William when they host the inaugural The King’s Cup on August 9th.
